COMENTARIO DEL DR. MIJAEL MAJLIN
La pintora Elsa Langer ha presentado hoy su exposición de obras plásticas en la amplia antesala del Salón de Conciertos Rappaport. Y por invitación de nuestros queridos amigos Jose y Rosa Pivín concurrimos a esta Inauguración Pictorica, que contó con la presencia de la pintora Langer y un grupo de amigos y admiradores.
La exposición consta de trabajos realizados en dos medios distintos : acuarelas y oleos sobre canvas (telas).
Las acuarelas, realizadas sobre soportes idoneos a ese medio transparente, muestran una tecnica dibujística cuidada y precisa de base, y el uso de una paleta cálida, templada por aguadas en la gama fría. Obras muy agradables, acogedoras, con buen balance del colorido y de composición.
Los oleos son variados en tema, desde paisajismo hasta motivos florales, el mayor grupo de la exposición. Un colorido excelente y el uso de complementarios dan realce a sus obras. La tecnica es escencialmente impresionista, adosamiento de colores puros yuxtapuestos sin mezcla, lo cual crea una fusión óptica eficaz y muy satisfactoria. Más aún por la abundancia de colores vivos de alta saturación, que irradian luminosidad.
La pintora Langer nos expresó su deseo de incursionar en el claroscuro Caravagista o Rembrantiano para rescatar aún mas los efectos de luz, pero esas obras seran presentadas en el futuro.
Corolario : una exposición exitosa que recomiendo visitar e impresionarse personalmente.

1933 Born in Austria or possibly Germany.
1945 Arrival in Uruguay after the Holocaust
1947 Began to take private lessons from the brothers Alceu and Edgardo Ribeiro of the Torres Garcia School (Dada movement) in Montevideo, Uruguay
1948 Studied sculpture in school in Montevideo
1949-50 Studied painting in the University of Bellas Artes, Montevideo under the Uruguayan master Felipe Seade
1955 Studied technical and abstract painting from the artist Enrique Rondeau
1958 Passed the exam to be an art and technical drawing teacher. Taught in elementary and highschools in Montevideo, until she immigrated to Israel
1970 Made Aliya to Israel
1992 Taught art in a youth cultural center in Ariel, Israel
2002 Taught art in “Beit Eyal” hostel for mentally disabled, Karmiel, Israel
2007-08 Studied Philosophy in Buenos Ar University(UBA), Argentina; she lived with her daughter during this time
2009-Date Residing in Haifa, Israel and continued to paint and teach art

* DR. MIJAEL MAJLIN, es un reconocido medico oftálmologo de la ciudad de Haifa. Nacido en Argentina, está radicado en Israel ya cuatro decadas, donde desarrolla su actividad profesional, siendo además el mismo un artista del pincel y dueño de un amplio conocimiento cultural, musical y literario.
